Samuel Chun Pong Lau (劉俊邦)

Assistant Professor
School of Data Science
City University of Hong Kong

I have received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), under the supervision of Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Rama Chellappa in 2021. I received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2016, the M.Phil. degree in Mathematics at CUHK in 2018 and M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics at University of Maryland, College Park in 2020. From 2022 to 2023, I am a postdoctoral fellow at Mathematical Institute for Data Science (MINDS), Johns Hopkins University.

I have strong research interests in developing reliable and robust computer vision algorithms, including Image Restoration, Adversarial Robustness, Biometrics at Long Distances, and Generative AI.
